Responsible for complete product development of Motor controller for Electric scooters. Capable of handling both core hardware circuit design as well associated firmware algorithm development.

 

Need to work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Understanding requirements from different stakeholders and translating these to technical requirements
  • Circuit design, Circuit simulation, Component selection, PCB board level testing and PCB verification
  • Create, test and verify control algorithms using simulation tools AND then to firmware.
  • Firmware development for motor control using IDE
  • Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure system functional and interface requirements are met.
  • Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
  • Performing functional and non-functional testing. Troubleshooting and debugging applications.
  • Designing creative prototypes according to specifications
  • Evaluating existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
  • Developing technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code
  • Identifying and communicating possible risks along with preventive and corrective measures
  • Designing HW/SW integration while working with HW/Algorithms/Cloud teams to deliver an integrated solution.
  • Skills Needed

 

  • Experience in FOC design, Space vector modulation, Motor modelling and control law design.
  • Sound understanding about synchronous and Asynchronous motors, Losses, governing equation, Back EMF, Anderson theory, reluctance torque etc.
  • Magnetic design like coupled Inductor, transformer etc.
  • Understanding State space modelling and simulation of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge about digital filters, State observers, ADC, DAC etc.
  • Strong hold in mathematical concept like Laplace and Z transforms.
  • Professional experience in Circuit design, component selection, circuit testing and debugging
  • Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
  • Should have exposure to life cycle of the product.
  • Good communication and leadership skills
